What might be wrong with my daughter's new glasses?

Q: Hi everyone,

My daughter just got new glasses, and she's complaining that everything seems far away.

The prescription stayed the same, she just needed new frames. She says she can see fine, just everything looks further away.

When I put her old and new right next to each other and compare the two there's definitely a distance difference.

Now we're definitely going to take them back, but I'm asking for my own education what might be wrong with them?
Is it definitely a prescription issue or potentially something else with the lens?

A: Hi,

Usually, this happens when the diopter is too strong.

So if the prescription is the same, you should definitely go back and check them out because I think the diopter is different.
