Q: New Bifocals left eye line too high can it be lowered?
A: Usually the bifocal line is measured and has a standard height for best vision, so the mounting in the frame is always the same way, according to your pupillary distance and height.
To put it lower, you have 2 possibilities:
- 1 is to order other lenses and ask them to mount it lower, or
- 2 : mount this lenses in to a smaller frame so it can be cut again, and this way the close vision part will be smaller and lower, but you should know that with this method, also the far vision part will be smaller, this is why usually this method is avoided, it may ruin the whole lens and you are back to ordering a new pair.
Hope this helps,
